Keith Acton was selected in the sixth round 103 round overall by the Montreal Canadiens in the 1978 NHL Entry Draft. He spent three full seasons with the Habs and quickly earned the respect of the league as a tenacious two-way player. He then spent five years in Minnesota before moving to Edmonton and winning a Stanley Cup with the Oilers in 1987/88. He then went to Philadelphia for five more seasons then Washington and finished his 15 season career with the NY Islanders at the end of the 1994 season. Acton’s career totaled 1089 games played and 617 points.
