Steve Webb played junior hockey for three seasons in the Ontario Hockey League with the Windsor Spitfires and Peterborough Pete’s, after which he split a season between the Muskegon Fury of the Colonial Hockey League and the Detroit Vipers of the International Hockey League. After being drafted to the NHL seventh overall by the Buffalo Sabres, he played for eight seasons for the New York Islanders and Pittsburgh Penguins where he played until returning to the Islanders to finish off his career before retiring in 2004 having played 335 games in the NHL.
